Disappointment
Unhinge the snap trap that holds hands with depreciation
As depravity is driven and derived from its family, delusion.
Each lengthy lesson to lessen the disdain held in the shoulders,
Rub directly or poke at pressure points with wilted hands
So he can harm once again, once relaxation drips from eardrums.
Ever the pointless weathersome break so distraction may resist
So resistance may meld with criminality to cause pain and a lecture.
Legalized drug use that spits up unwelcome deconstruction before
An agenda for deities drowns out the drunken rock star dream.
Studded supervision dives deep into the mechanics of the mind
More so to map out directions than to instruct construction.
Constricted in energetic chains to drain a desire to speak up,
Hold back as there are words she won’t let us say in the presence of heartache.
Asking questions seems eerily similar to asking for help
So drown out the wondering with ever-dry lips.
Grow, don’t change. Listen, don’t think. And don’t allow death
To poison the indoctrinated soul with an easy division.
